Marco’s Pizza, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt and Sport Clips all make Franchise Times’ list of the top brands in franchising

In March when Franchise Times unveiled its Fast and Serious list of the smartest-growing franchises, we were pleased to see three of our clients recognized: Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Marco’s Pizza, and Sports Clips are all ranked among the Top 14 of the list, which is featured in the March issue.
The magazine says the list is meant to spotlight brands that have strong growth as well as staying power.
Menchie’s, which took the top spot on the list, has been our client since 2010 when they had 25 stores. Under CEO Amit Kleinberger’s direction, we developed their franchise sales process, hired and trained their franchise development team, built and maintain their franchise opportunity website at www.menchiesfranchise.com. We also assist with lead generation. They will soon open their 400th store and hundreds more in in some stage of getting open.
The No. 8 spot on the list went to Marco’s Pizza, who we have been working with since early 2012. Marco’s has become the fastest growing pizza chain in the United States, by satisfying the demand for authentic Italian pizza. FPG helps them maintain a franchisee-centered corporate culture, provides lead generation services, franchise sales support on an outsourced basis, and we designed www.marcosfranchising.com. Leads increased from 100-170 per month to over 500 per month. The new website more then doubled their rate of conversions. As a result, Marco’s achieved a breakthrough in franchise development resulting in their opening over 100 stores in 2013 and are projected to open close to 200 stores in 2014.
Sports Clips, which we have worked with since 2007, was ranked No. 14. We’ve worked with them on the franchisee recruitment process and have assisted select Regional Developers to recruit franchisees in their local markets. SportClips have grown from a little less than 500 salons when we started working with them to more than 1,100 today, outpacing their category.
Menchie’s, Marco’s and Sports Clips were chosen from a total of 298 franchises systems selected by Franchise Times. Mary Jo Larson, publisher of Franchising Times states, “The Fast & Serious is a ranking of the fastest-growing franchises. But most are growing in a sustainable way. And that’s important to note, because so often franchises that grow too fast without the right infrastructure flame out. This group should have staying power.”
